How has been your 180 days journey at Isobar?

German farmers, insurance struggles, tax deductions, hair colors, sustainable fashion and creative ways to smuggle gold. Confused, yet? The last 180 days at Isobar has been a dive into a dozen and more briefs across multiple brands and a handful of categories! As someone who is on a mission to learn it all, these last 180 days have been a swimming pool of information — one I have enjoyed to splash around.

What kind of skills do you need to be effective in a strategy role?

i. Know that you are hired to be the attorney for the consumer

ii. (Kinda) trust your instinct. Empathy and curiosity is fodder to develop this instinct.

iii. Focus: find next steps from the mess

How is Kickstrat different from any other internship in the industry?

Kickstrat exclusively aims to nurture junior strategists hence creating space for strategy right from ground up, a trend not seen across many agencies. The program offers absolute autonomy, allowing us to directly work and learn from peers across departments, cities and hierarchies. At no point did I feel any less valued or respected than a lateral hire. In fact, I had full freedom to explore all opportunities — whether this was publishing a paper or carving an unexplored space for a client.

Why will you recommend Kickstrat to anyone who is keen in kickstarting a career in the industry?

Kickstrat provides a front row seat into the day-to-day of the ad life — going all in on pitches, the adrenaline rush of a campaign going live, the non-stop video calls, the oh-so-cool technology solutions — all of it. Kickstrat is a program where you work on real briefs with real clients looking for real solutions. This isn’t a program where you’re just watching from the sidelines — you’re running the goddamn race. I would say that Kickstrat is for anyone who is self-motivated and has an ‘I don’t know but I let’s figure it out’ attitude.
